Arts and Heritage: a different kind of wealth
We all know how important the arts are for individual wellbeing and social expression. But the creative sector is also a major economic factor in the UK and we believe creative solutions lead to a different kind of outcome: one of social justice and equality.
We are a social enterprise and operate as a charitable organisation without share capital. These are our charitable aims:
-
Lightbear Lane exists for the promotion of the arts and culture in heritage, nature and community spaces.
-
We work with the underserved, people of low economic background, people with disabilities, people with heritage, and the LGBTQIA+ communities.
-
Lightbear Lane’s charitable aims focus on creative place-making through cultural practices to enhance a sense of pride of place, and through that increased wellbeing through integration and creative practice.
