Part of the fascinating Henry VIII On Tour project, this recording re-imagines the soundscapes of royal progresses. Drawing upon Tudor music manuscripts including music associated with specific progress venues such as King’s College, Cambridge (where Henry stayed in 1522). The CD recording supplements a series of residencies by Ensemble Pro Victoria at Christchurch, Hampshire (where Henry stayed in 1510 and 1516) and Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire (a venue during the well-known progress of 1535.
