Old St Leonard’s Hall – Consultancy

We spent a wonderful summer working with Katherine and Pier, RIBA award-winning architects FABRICA, in their newly restored home — a former school hall transformed with exceptional care for sustainability and detail. Their office occupies the old assembly space, a light-filled hall with a mezzanine for desks and equipment, perfectly blending heritage with contemporary design.

Our brief was to help reimagine the hall as a community space — a place for artistic projects and neighbourhood gatherings. We advised on suitable uses and community needs, then developed a range of sustainable business models. It was a joy to connect them with local artists, all of whom instantly fell in love with the building.

Our collaboration culminated in the hall’s first public opening: a Heritage Open Days event welcoming the wider community. Today, St Leonard’s Hall Studio has grown into a thriving creative hub, hosting a vibrant mix of artistic and cultural programmes.
