Shaking up the Shakespeare programme
The South West Shakespeare Festival is powered by partnership and passion. Since we announced the festival launch at the beginning of the year, many cultural organisations and artists have been in touch to be part of the programme in 2027. And for some we have found a space this year, too.
With the Campfire Shakespeare Special, we have added a chance for writers to present their work and read it to an engaged and interested audience.
Exeter Picturehouse – thanks Ella, you’re a star and will be greatly missed – will show two special screenings of the award-winning Hamnet.
We will be joined by pop-up poet Harula Ladd to experience how personal stories can be turned into poems in only three minutes!
If you are interested in being part of next year’s programme, or know someone who might be, please get in touch via our creative proposal form here. We are always excited to discuss new ideas!
