Our Charity Christmas Tree 2025
This year, Lightbear Lane has been chosen as one of Exeter’s organisations to decorate a Christmas tree in Princesshay! What a delightful surprise and a great way to contribute to the festive spirit of our great little city.
The trees are outside, exposed to the weather, and we had to be creative to avoid plastic (shocking how much plastic tat there is available). We hope you like our tree full of natural and bio-degradable decorations. Of course we also wanted our community to contribute and so we sent a call out to submit favourite quotes from book, film, music … We now have glass baubles filled with literary offerings and can’t wait to add them to our hand-painted decorations. If you look carefully, you might also spot some artefacts as symbolic representation of the arts…
The lights will be switched on on 14th November, at 4pm and the tree will be up until Twelfth Night. Do visit and if you can, there’s a QR code for you to donate and support us. See a decoration you would enjoy on your tree? Head over to our online shop and you’ll find a selection there.
